Jody has an Associates Degree from COTC Newark in Early Childhood Development. She worked for Knox County Head Start for 21 years as a Lead PreSchool Teacher and then as an Early Childhood Center Coordinator.

Jody and her husband, John, moved to Apple Valley in 1989. They have two daughters, Emily (Mike) and Sarah (PJ) and four grandchildren - Sadie, Grace, Cece and Jack. In their spare time they are usually doing something together as a family.

Jody is grateful for this opportunity to teach again. She feels as though she often learns more from the children than what she teaches them! That is the joy of teaching. Learning through the eyes of children.
