TESTIMONIALS
Tonight was my first Youth Group Bible study with Logan Hines, and it was awesome! The message was exactly what my kids needed to hear in a way that they could relate and all the kids were truly engaged. I'm not used to working with kids/teens in this setting, and honestly I myself was engaged!! Being part of the lesson for the kids gave me some pointers on how to support my own kids in their challenges, struggles and their victories!
I HIGHLY encourage any of you to bring your kids and sit in! It's a wonderful way to put the phones and game systems down and engage with other kids, have fun, receive some support and tips on battling your way through the tough teen years and leave with hope in your heart to finish the week out strong!
Next group is Wednesday, October 15th @ 6:15 at the United Methodist Church here in Mount Vernon. I have 2 extra seats in my van if you need transportation to and from!
It was amazing to see God working through Logan to touch the lives of the yourth in our commuity! Come be a part of it!

"A beautiful sanctuary with stone and stained glass. The congregation and staff are welcoming to all and Sunday services are at 8:30am and 10:45am. The church is very active in many missions including serving meals on Friday night, the Closet, Hope Now, the Winter Sanctuary, and more."

We originally started coming to Gay Street because our boys were teenagers, and we wanted a place that had other teens and a youth group. They were welcomed and included immediately, so we stayed. Everyone has been great, there are always things going on, great music programs, the church is beautiful, and we like that it has remained more traditional.
"I love this church family; I feel like home here. No judgment, and everyone is welcome!! “Open hearts, open minds, open doors”💜"

We love the wonderful messages delivered by our ministers each week as well as the music from the choirs and pipe organ. We also love being a part of a caring community of faith!

The main reason I come to Gay Street United Methodist Church is that I feel connected to God when I am here. It is my home here on earth, until I can go to my heavenly home with God. My grandparents and parents made the choice to attend this church and brought me here as a baby. I choose to attend because it is where I want to be. I feel God "planted me here". And so I do my best to grow as a Christian and to help others as part of this church community, and in the larger, surrounding community as well.
"Been a member since 1975! It’s like being a part of a family. I’ve made great long lasting friendships there. Our two sons were raised in and attended there! One son and family attended with their children until moving to another state!"
