Green Valley Chapel's present building was built in 1856. Members of the Episcopal, Presbyterian and Methodist faiths worshipped in the old Granny Creek public school before the present building was erected as the Green Valley Chapel 169 years ago.

Since 1856 the present building has been remodeled at least three times, the remodel happened in 1954.  Formerly there were two front entrances - one for men and one for women.
